Is the tradeoff in weight worth it?

Don't overthink this.
You can't go wrong with either.
Get the one you think looks best.

has anyone ever had a non-contact failure of a cast wheel (OZ or otherwise)? is the lifecycle of a cast wheel significantly shorter than forged?

trying to figure out if forged is truly an upgrade or if it falls under the "it's more expensive so must be better" category.

I've used many sets of cast OZ wheels and never had an issue.

Love the CCW's, never had the OZ's. Running those exact sizes on mine.

Running same size on the Box both CCW and OZ. They weigh almost exactly the same. Only difference in mine is the offsets are a little better with the CCW's. A little tire rub with the OZ and the tire tool doesn't fit as snug into the lug sockets. OZ looks better though.

The CCWs are made to your specification.

Yeah, they are better fit. OZ are listed as a fit on Tire Rack as well with offsets, but they just aren't quite the same quality as CCW IMHO. But, for LW wheels and considering cost, OZ is a good alternative.
