I am confused... What GT3R are you talking about?

Surely it was NOT the blue one at the festival of speed last weekend. As that car was no where near OP. On the track or off. And I nor the car has NEVER been to COTA or Sebring.

Please clarify!

The blue R car qualified first and stayed there all weekend. He turned a low 36 in qual. Saturday, the fastest lap there I've ever seen there from a Porsche. The car in the incident was definitely a factory RSR....

Can someone explain the difference between the R car and a RSR please....

Simple answer: R had more power; RSR had more aero. But most R's have been upgraded with 2013 aero pkg making it a little harder to tell them apart externally at first glance.

R w/aero upgrade: (http://www.topspeed.com/cars/porsche...-ar150316.html).

RSR: http://www.topspeed.com/cars/porsche...-ar119398.html

Lot's more that isn't as obvious to the eye.

Easiest way to tell them apart is to look at the model designation on back bumper

KV was driving a 2011 Cup modified by PMNA with ABS, Paddles and a 4.0L engine, not a RSR.

Interesting since he's registered it as an RSR at the few events I've seen him at. It's a nice package regardless though I wouldn't know the difference unfortunately....

KaiB is correct. If I'm not mistaken, this one is a different car than he's run in the past...believe he sold his R/RSR over the offseason and got this one (going off his FB posts)

Default R vs RSR

KV has never owned an RSR. He has raced the R for a number of years. His brother, also KV, bought an ex-Flying Lizard RSR and raced it last year. That car has now been sold. KV 2 is now running the R.

KV 1 is in the modded 2011 Cup.

Confused?

Wasn't one of them taken out in the RA green flag mess last year? That was a bad weekend for alot of people.

I'm trying to stay with this thread but unless I get a written synopsis or video, I may have to chuck it in.
I understand the OP's original upset at the somewhat arbitrary 13/13 but not the events that lead up to it.
Is there some video from the protagonist/antagonist or those on track at the same time?

A few more. Louvered fenders on the r. Cut away front nose on RSr. Rear quarters on RSr have the intake on the quarter flares. That's maybe the hugest difference is the intake system. Wheels same. Suspension same. R motor has more power and r has abs. Same paddle mega line system. Stuff like that

I saw him go off 3 times in a sprint race at Buttonwillow last fall on Saturday. He finished 5th with the fastest lap times. On Sunday he only went off once but it cost him the race. He finished second. While I have no direct knowledge that he's ever hit anyone in the RSR, it's probably only by luck since his results appear to show he has some car control difficulties. Maybe it's was the RSR....

Why do I believe the video may show the reason why the OP got the 13, not KV(1).

Not defending anything here, just sayin'.
