Second the comment about tongue weight.
Figure you're @6k lbs loaded? Tongue weight of 10-15% should be 600-900 lbs.
I have a CargoPro same weight, and have about 750 at the ball and a weight distributing hitch.
Might be worth further investigation?

Yes.. Should be about 500-600 lbs. i have room to move car forward some more, and with generator, fuel jugs, and more gear up in the v, i should be right in the sweet spot. I was concerned before i bought it that the tongue weight would be crazy high with the cabs and tire rack... Was surprised when i actually weighed it with a tongue scale.

2400 car, 2300 lb trailer, tires, fuel and gear and i will be well under 5,500 lbs. btw, the tongue weight was 340 lbs empty. It actually towed better with the car in it, rather than empty (race car is in the shop)... So i am curious if the heavy pdk tranny hanging off he back of the 981 will influence the balance vs the spec boxster. Prior owner towed his 996 cup car in this trailer with a cayenne (with a huge tool box, two large nitrogen bottles, and 8 spare wheels without issue for 5 years.
