What a minute? Are you guys saying that NASCAR has brought new skillz to F1? It's got to be a first.
Don't get me wrong, I love a good burnout and these guys have earned it.
Sometimes these F1 bureaucrats can be such a wet blanket.

Not a fan boy of Seb, but have to admire his success. A good show.
F1 is being silly, a fine of 1€ would have been sufficient. Feel for MW having to pull over, at least he can follow team orders.
Seb also commented on being boo'd earlier in the season, maybe he is learning. Tough to be mature @ 26 and not buy into the hype. Will be interesting to see the pace next year of RB and with DR behind the #2 seat.

It actually proves it's existence even more, to me. Its on for a while, at the beginning of the race, and then is turned off, because the KERS can only take so much of it - otherwise it affects the system. This is supported for when they had kers issues - it was on longer.

Seb was laying significant rubber when he was doing his fastest laps (compared to other)...

1) They have the system. It is on or off depending on a ratio of need/want/current reliability scenario/etc
2) The longer it is on, the more wear it puts on the alternator/KERS battery/KERS motor/Drivetrain - thereby feeding into the need/want/reliability ratio
3) It can possibly only be used for a certain amount of time early in the race.
If you recall, technically speaking, it was learned that teams were supercharging the batteries, and running them on the ragged edge - because they wanted a smaller lighter battery but also wanted good charge and power out of them. Hence the coolant issues that we saw last season.
They replace the batteries after every race. Notice in the rules it does not state (IIRC - correct if wrong) how many races a battery or the charging materials and system must last.

He will only have to pay it if he has to return, so he won't have to pay it!
