Mothers works great. I have a white car and every mark shows. I have found that if you clean it at the track it comes out better in the long run. A PITA, but worth it. When the rubber gets baked by the sun it is harder to get off the clear bra. Comes right off the paint, but that bra can be a pain if you wait too long.

Sounds like a lot of stuff works. I used to use Mothers carnuba cleaner wax.

Ok. That's several votes for the mothers R3. I guess I just need to start wiping it down at the track instead of waiting until I get home. I usually just dedicate the following weekend to a clay bar party in the driveway.

I find NuFinish to be better than R3.
Cheaper and easier to find as well.

Miracle Wash (AMSOIL) and R3 both work great on paint, but as pointed out above, once rubber sets into plastic, results get worse the longer it sits.

If it does not remove quickly soaked with R3, I don't try rubbing harder. 3M hand glaze, gentle application, takes care of the ugly stuff. Similar to clay I think.

Cheers

The fasteners in unibody cars are usually put in dry and that's where aluminum might be exposed to the Simple Green. Especially, I would avoid diluting and using for general washing as the solution can pool in hidden places and not be rinsed away.

Simple green also makes a high end product approved for use on aluminum aircraft. That product would of course be perfectly acceptable.

Yep should have been more clear, I get mine from sportys, pretty much all they use in the hangar to get the bottom of the planes and Heli clean. doesnt hurt the aircraft canopies so safe for racecar plexi, tearr offs and dissolves the track rubber right off...

I do use the green stuff on really tough spots, but don't wash the car with it...

Mothers R3. And it works on weeks-old rubber marks on clear-bra too. Just spray on, let it sit 20sec, and wipe off. Doing it at the track is an overkill, IMO, and it also increases the risk of rubbing in track dirt into the paint/bra, causing swirls. The less you touch the paint/bra, the better.

Many of us are using this now. Cheap, effective, and available everywhere.

I would be careful about using anything even mildly abrasive on the clear bra because it's quite soft and it will become dull. Ask me how I know. Like other people, I find R3 to be the answer.
