Enclosed trailer: Aluminum vs Wood
Like many of you, I've been using an open trailer for years, but I'd like to move to an enclosed for the typical reasons. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth the extra cost for an aluminum trailer over wood. Assuming you have a truck that can pull either one, is there a reason to pay the extra $$$ for aluminum?
The aluminum is lighter (duh), but are there any other practical advantages for the aluminum trailer? I'm guessing that some buy the aluminum because it means the difference between being able to tow with your current vehicle rather than having to upgrade. Thanks for any advice.

Well for one aluminum lasts for ever. No rust , no rotting yada yada . Over time it just holds up better from the elements. I've seen friends trailers get a leak and water gets in from rain fall ... the wood walls were full of mold and rotted. Not pretty

Thanks - the trailer will probably be stored outside, so it sounds like aluminum is the way to go. I've been close to buying a used one but they sold before I can check them out.
