Looking for the right cable - AIM MXL

Nick, the right way is to configure both the Solo DL and the MyChron 4 SmartyCam configurations in RS 2 and transmit to each logger. You have probably already done that.
Then, in SmartyManager, build two configurations, one for each logger (with the info and channels provided by each logger associated to their respective items on the screen) and transmit both to the SmartyCam. I.e. a Solo DL screen and a MyChron 4 screen.
Then the only thing you have to do is to change the AC config in settings when swapping the camera!
I'll ping you when I get them. 2-4 weeks is a wild a$$ guess.

From Jerry on the camera:
"Good news and bad news on the HD camera availability. The bad news is that it is out 5 or 6 more weeks. The good news is that they are making many changes/improvements based on our Sebring tests, which I thought went well. Time will tell."

Peter and all,
Thanks for all of the information. I should have posted here before my first order. Well, now I have something to return, new firmware to make sure I have, and far more educated that prior to the posting.
Thanks everyone

I'm fine with that. Meantime I will continue using my Contour+. Thanks again!

Did this data feature go away? Stumbled across this thread yesterday and tried it on this weekend's card - no data seems to be there. I have MXL Pista (original) and SmartyCam HD rev2

There's another USB connection possible, a female 1/8" phone plug in the left lower side of the MXL dash under the rubber cover, too.
The 3-pin you got was for an EVO 4. I have millions of those. You may be able to get the male 719-USB cable from Jerry, but if not, call Roanoke (AiM East)and they'll send one right out.
If you have a SmartyCam and the latest firmware on both the MXL and SC, you don't need a cable. Also, make sure you have the latest version of Race Studio 2 (2.48.00)
All of the data from the MXL is sent to the SmartyCam and recorded on an .smc compressed file on the microSD card.
To download it, take the card out, stick it in your computer, open Race Studio 2 and select "Import SmartyCam microSD data" and viola!
Assign driver, track, session, etc and you're done.

Only the original Smartycam and Smartycam GP do this. The SCHD, SCHD Rev2, and SCHD GP do not record the data on the memory card, so you have to download it separately.

For those not wedded to HD, I have a new and two used GP's available for sale.
Ideal for rear facing second cameras, plus this feature.
