R U Faster Than a Redneck
Congratulations to former 944 Cup racer and 2011 Cup champion Joe Crowell for proving himself faster than a redneck on "R U Faster than a Redneck?".
Debate within the Series rages as to whether Joe Boy was batting for the right team, but we won't let that diminish his victory. He gotter done:

The stationwagen was still giving up 100 HP, 200 lbs. torque and nearly 500 lbs weight to the Mustang. Actually good driving by both, can't believe how close they came to each other, but boy what a short track (.98 mile). I've been on autocross courses that were longer.

Plus, the carousel and the kink would probably have polished off quite a few cars. The kink nearly got me a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks! I really enjoyed that! Cliff is a top spec miata driver. He won the ARRC the past year for a 2nd time at Road Atlanta.

Interesting to hear. Testament to Joe Boy's driving skills. Both he and his younger brother Case were phenomenal in the 944's . Actually instituated the "Crowell Rule" in the series just for them. As good as they were on paved surface, they were even better on dirt. The Crowell rules required all passing to be done on the track.

Joe was a great driver! and as was Cliff (and Brian Finch, and some of the other Rednecks). Joe's episode was awesome to watch! some of the Redneck cars were unbelievably well built and FASTTTT.
mine is the next episode.

I saw one of these episodes where a guy in a EURO car got to the finals where $10,000 is on the line. Instead of having the owner of the Redneck car drive against the owner of the Euro, they had some recently retired NASCAR driver go against the amateur. I'm probably taking this a little more serious than I should, but if I was that guy that had $10k on the line, I wouldn't want to go up against a Pro driver.
The race posted above was a good race between what appeared to be two very competent drivers
