Default Cayman in GX hanging tough at Daytona

Way to go David Donohue and team mates in the Cayman running out front in GX. David lives just down the road and has been very active in our local PCA club. He has also been instrumental in developing a Cayman for a fellow club member running GT class. The car undergone massive development at Vintage Motorsports. I hope they can hang in for a podium finish.

Glad to see the Cayman racing and doing well so far. Mantissport is refitting our Cayman this winter, first time we built it in 2006. Hope to be ready for some WC / PCA races, later this year.

Ernie, I remember that car. You were the first to develop one and make it competitive. Would be very cool to see it at WG.

You'd think that Porsche would show a little love since these Cayman teams are showing how durable the wet sump motor can be.

Yup. John Tecce at BGB has been saying to years that the DFI was good to go. Porsche ignored him. As usual, he was right.

Need to run with a Cayman engine and not the 997 engine if you want to prove something here.

It's still based on the 9A1 motor right? even though it's a 3.8. While the Porsche GT cars are the Metzger GT-1 dry sump motor aren't they. In any case it was great seeing the little Cayman out there.
