5/6 point harnesses, which brand?

I have Schroth Hans belts in my Boxster and they are excellent. BUT I also have $100 GForce belts in my 911 (solely used for the targa Newfoundland roughly every 2 years so maximum 2 1/2 weeks total usage between replacements) and they also seem fine. They both pass the same SFI tests so I'm guessing they will both do what is required when the **** hits the fan. I suspect it comes down to budget. If I had an unlimited budget I would probably go with Schroth simply because the buckles etc. are more elegant and the strapping seems finer but really (like all things safety) get the best you can afford.

Keep in mind, Gforce doesn't offer the 2" hans shoulder feature like Schroth.

Another vote for Schroth, but I will also add Sparco to the list. I have Schroth in one car, and Sparco in the other, and I think I may actually like the way the Sparco harness functions better.

Just a helmet with standard 3 point belts.

I think he's saying that he uses 3 inch harnesses, rather than the 2 inch that are only meant to be used with a HANS.

Perhaps a stupid question. But when the date expires on the Schroth belts can you replace just the belts and keep the hardware in order to save some $s or do you order it all again?

I use Schroth belts but have heard good things about Safecraft. I may give these a try next time http://www.safecraft.com/Mrestraints-harnesses.php
