That great news. My father's friend with helicopter still have no final word on landing clearance for days of race. Why everything take so long in third world area like Texas? How hard can it be to figure out?
Nor looking forward to access by car. Bus sound also very bad and I'm reading not much good planning. Want to see race but why this so difficult? Also some said that November can have ice there, true?

I've been here 25+ years and have never seen ice around Thanksgiving.
Even the year of the snow in Dallas on Thanksgiving (Leon Lett's classic blunder against the Dolphins) => the weather in Austin was fine.
You are more likely to sweat your butt off than have to worry about ice.
However -- it's far better weather than would most likely be for June.
This year was an anomaly -- but the original race weekend was 108 degrees.
So moving to November was the right choice.

The weather in November can be 85 plus or fairly cold (lows in the 30's)

Henry Aviation - Ft. Worth handling all flight permits for track. Cost is $1600 / day to land and pickup only. Other helicopter company charging $585 per person wanting lift there. So question is even worth it?
Today in Austin @ 3:30 PM the F1 track have meet & greet with all aviation people involved downtown at The Hanger Lounge. This place located at 4th & Colorado street. My father's friend will be there to get final guidelines. Maybe best just to hangglide or ultralight fly there to track and hope to get out with bus later.

Problem will be so much traffic with many wanting to fly into race. Father's friend find out more yesterday when at bar downtown Austin. Landing rights for access with own helicopter is $1650 per day. Most charter company will want $585 for trip. Can not be picked up for two hours after race to let f1 teams, VIP, and track workers to clear. Other option was to land on property next to track but as you say that would be big hike. At this time only one road in and out with bus for event. Look like possible disaster with so many people there.

That may be best way as many land owners near track to allow access. Instead of pony maybe burro appeal better to Mr. Eccelstone as they very small in size and not take up much room. Wonder how much hitching post fee will be at this race?
