Nope. My house is in the city, miles away from the nearest forest.

Nope, your city was a forest at one time.

We'd be better off burning the cities. Far more parasites are urban dwellers.

I was there and deer hair was all over the headliner so clearly that deer was very close to making contact with the driver, scary stuff indeed. On the net posted elsewhere someone mentioned another driver at SPR with an open face helmet that now has some metal face plates thanks to a deer.

I agree with everyone but the posers you know the guys with there hands locked at 9 and 3 that move on the wheel about as much as their cars move on the track

The ones that never see you coming and hold you up for 1/2 a lap and don't worry I don't take my hand off the wheel to wave at you but for the real drivers who see me coming and react with a quick point and don't hold me up they get a big thank you

Yeah. So What! That's how it has always been here. Nice to know some things don't change.

This is a driving forum. That was a driving event and its hot outside.

He should be thankfull he was not on track with Mike in Chi. He never has 2 hands on the wheel.

tracks in Socal, Arizona or Vegas don't have deer so seeing this video really opened my eyes as to what you guys deal with back there. Seen foxes, especially at turn 9 apex at Willow Springs, but nothing we can't get by without a little smug of the paint.

But we don't have the Daisy Duke parties after the track goes cold either. No wonder you guys love your racing back there!!!

Really? Holding the steering wheel is inconsequential?

We're going to have to agree to disagree on that count.

As for waving between driver's, it's nothing to do with point-by's or driver tasks like radio, it's just the idiocy of thinking that at the split second you wave your hand inside your cabin, the driver in the other car focuses on your social gesture and can see inside your car to recognize what you've motioned.

I realize that Web forum sites are the happy hunting ground of argumentative contrarians, but seriously, this is just raising your hand to identify yourself.

You really don't notice when someone gives you a wave?

this is actually a common problem at a number of tracks, Blackhawk Farms and Road America come to mind.
And besides Summit Point... I have been at Lime Rock where on more than one occasion track sessions were halted due to close proximity of Bambi

You really don't notice when someone gives you a wave?
+1

really....a quick thumbs up from a passing driver.... and you do notice when you have been passed....
