Watkins Glen Video - Enduro and Sprint
Mac did a great job keeping things safe for the first stint in the rain, and gave me the car as the track dried out. I had a fun couple of laps racing with Peter for the lead of GTC4.
Make sure you watch until the end. I had a big slide at the top of the esses when it started raining the last few laps. The end of the race in the rain was very sketchy! It wouldn't have been a bad idea to call the race a few minutes early to avoid a bad situation.
Video from Sprint Race 2. The car was feeling great, Such a fun track to drive.
Just realized I didn't mention the 2 videos are of 2 different cars. The Enduro is in Mac's 2006 GTC4 class 997 cup and the sprint is from our 2008 GTA2 class Grand-Am 997 cup. They look like the same cars at a glance from the incar clips.

Come on, you left at least 3-4 seconds on the table.... in that 52.7 lap.
Nice job! Is this the same car you all had for sale earlier in the year that, apparently, I should have bought ?
Sounds more like an RSR than a cup car!

Nice driving as always, Cory. Sorry we didn't get a chance to visit--every time I swung by, you weren't there.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Whats wrong with being a little relaxed in the car?
Ha! I was proud of that pass and wanted to show it off a little. That was a blast running with you. I thought you were cruising when I was gaining but all of a sudden you took off! Good luck in the IMSA challenge race at RD America.
Hi Chris. Haven't heard from you in a while, we've been missing having you at the track. Yes this is the same car you looked at. The car was running great this past weekend! It's hard to do much setup work at a PCA race but we had it pretty close by the 2nd sprint. It is a 2008 grand-am model with some updates. We went through the engine before this weekend and trans since buying it before Rd Atlanta. Planning on doing some gen-2 body work and run it in the 2013 24hr at daytona.
That is the diag light. We checked it with modas and it showed nothing wrong. We have talked to PMNA about the light on other cars in the past and they say its normal to go on/off without having any issues.
It was hard finding open laps. We havent looked at the data from that race yet but I'm sure there was a few tenths lost. I wish we had a chance to do a low fuel, qualifying run with new tires. The car was definately running strong.
Sorry I missed you. The paddock there is so spread out its tough to get around to see everyone. Sounds like you had a very productive week with your coaching guys. Catch you at the next one.
