Matt! That was some fun racing. Bela just left me in the dust thru t11. I never did sack up and get thru it as fast as he did.

Here are some pics of us taken by Steve Wilson's (SP3) son:

What I find cool is that there were 5 SPB's within a second or so of each other in those pics and you had two of them up in front of you to chase too! If I had a buyer for my car I would move to SPB just to harass you Streak! That and the fact that I can always borrow wheels when I need them....

And couldn't you guys have done a better job of blocking Ernie??

Streak,

Great shots, thx!

That was my first race with other Spec Boxsters so I didn't have any reference point going in. I had to figure out racing at Watkins on the fly, luckily got some line coaching on T10-11 from Randy (SP2 winner). *****, yes, that guy has 'em.

Pleasure to race with you guys, look forward to next time .

Here's the start of the 1st yellow sprint. Had a great time until my brakes started to go. I learned the hard way Pagid yellows are worthless when they get below half way. Going to try pf08's at VIR. Some really good drivers in I stock.

Scott, ALL Pagids are worthless beyond 50% wear.

IMO, try the PFC06's first. 50-50 odds you will stick with them...

Thanks VR. I'll give them a shot. All the way around or something more aggressive in the back ?
I'd did the usual yellow/black combo with pagids.

I would say try them all around, and then see if you need any more rear bite. if so, do the 01's in the back. But, IMHO, all corners with 06's may be the ticket on a street-based 996.

Also, nice driving! I can find you some real time at the Glen...

Was that 993 in your class? He seemed to be taking a very defensive line and a few times he committed to the inside and swung back out in the brake zone to take the turn on line. Allowed Pickrell to drive away.

Nope not in class. Did the same exact thing in qualifying.
