Default Installing BK Seat Back Brace

OK, I picked up a BK seat back brace for my 944S2 and I'm eye balling the fit before I drill holes into the cage. From what I can tell, with the seat in my normal spot this is going to be a few inches short of reaching my seat. Seat is a composite Sparco Pro 2000. The model is the competition R-9020, but the shaft isn't long enough (my life story). I''m 6ft tall and my cage does not appear to be that far back. What to do? Have an extension welded onto brace. Add more dense (like me) foam? Any assistance, snide comments are encouraged.

That, a phone book, and some blocks of wood and you were in good shape!

Me, I had to mount mine to the transmission mount.

Think extra foam is the way to go. See you all at Lime Rock in April.

How much extra foam will be required to make up the shaft shortage of a few inches? That may be a bit too much foam. That first sentence just doesn't sound right but I'll take the high road and go with it. I have 1 inch of hard foam at the back of my seat when it touches the brace.

Joe - I agree, more than 1/2" over what is supplied is too much. Beyond that do it with steel.... or start taking growth hormones.
