I was too late to get in last night, but did some practice with the 488GT3. It's a pretty nice car to drive! I'm so slow now though after not practicing for so long. I hope it comes back because I don't like being at the bottom of the time sheets.

How do I join your run group? I am not very good but I am getting better.
I did my first track day at LRP after practicing on the simulator for a solid month every day for at least a dozen laps or so. My head was were it needed to be mentally, but my brake points were all screwed up... I also was way off my pace until end of my second session. Definitely an interesting experience.

Once the real world track season winds down we will start up the league racing again. That's usually around mid October. We'll be running the cup car again, so if you are looking to practice, start with that car. Also most of our tracks are North American.

I am looking to upgrade my entire T500RS setup right now. Was about to do a Fanatec 2.5 wheel w/ V3 inverted pedals but saw they are coming out with a direct drive so probably going to hold off. I can't get braking right with the TMaster pedals to save my life.

Worth 2 1/2 times the Fanatec?

I think the Fanatecs are decent, especially for the money. But they max out on force pretty easily. I have my rig set up to mimic the dimensions and feel of my real car, run with shoes, etc. I want to be able to work the pedals hard.
The Fanatecs are much more "toy" once you compare them to the Heusinkveld's.

I'm not super excited by the LMP1 cars. If it was still a class, I guess it might be intriguing, but they're going to be another complicated car to setup. With currently raced cars, I like buying them and learning about them because it enhances my experience as a fan. I can learn the quirks of the Ford GT that I see racing on weekends. If we are going to do historic cars, I'd rather see more simple vintage racers. With the Porsche and Ferrari License and the Camel GT series, let's get a 1989 911 out there and a the F40 LM.
I've been doing practice with the Ferrari GT3 car. It's actually a really nice car to drive and I feel like my speed is starting to come back.
