Hey Rennlisters!
Wanted to share my latest vid regarding ways I practice and perform starts in iRacing.

Thanks for the tips! I'm terrible at starts in the cup car and now i see why. I don't have a clutch pedal so don't think I can modulate the clutch if I map it to a button.

Yes you are at a disadvantage without a clutch, not too much you can do about that one sadly.

I will not be joining the 24 Hrs ^^^

I know this has been covered in this thread but for the life of me cannot find it... How do we join the RL iRacing league? I "Requested to Join" via the UI last night but wasn't sure if I need to PM somebody on here with my iRacing #.

Hey Elliott
Does the real 991.2 Cup have a clutch pedal? I didn't think so. If not how does it manage standing starts?

Edit: I found out the cup does have a clutch with anti-stall.

We ended up winning our split for the 24 hours. Too bad the start was so rocky. Was definitely the largest sim racing event in history I would suspect. I will probably do all the special events with my league this year. Next one is Bathurst.

I assume the 992 Cup Car is replacing the 991? Or will they both exist?

Im looking for a strong cockpit to handle the torque of the Fanatac DD! wheelbase I just ordered. I am brand new to this. It looks like the Fanatec Rennsport cockpit may be only available in europe, so I am looking for alternatives!

2 days ago I placed an order for an oButto cockpit but then cancelled the order when someone told me it is not strong enough to handle the DD1 torque which is rated at 20 NM.

All suggestions appreciated!

Check out Sim Lab - they ship from Europe but MicroCenter here in the US has started stocking their cockpits. Advanced Sim Racing ships from
Canada and RigMetal is US-based. All pretty good options as far as I can tell

The 8020 cockpits will be strong enough. They’re also very moddable.
