FYI, large update came out today, downloading now. Looks like they made the Ruf the official pace car now.

We thought we needed an upgrade to a proper sports car for the pace car

Great race. Burkey and I were all up in each other's business during the first 3 laps and let Jim build an insurmountable gap. I was clawing my way back, but there weren't enough laps left to fight for the lead again. Definitely have to figure out the starts. Jim has a reliable monster start that I can never seem to match. We need to get to the bottom of the scrutineering thing... I wonder if there's a way to tell what caused it. Scott reported no problem in the garage, so maybe it's something else. Plank wear? erroneous minimum weight?

Yeah, I've never seen that before. I wish it would at least tell me what the problem was.

The first few laps from last night, while the "pack" was still mostly together. At the end I have my helmet cam of the start.

Looks like I was trying the same line as Justin was taking but he pulled it off I didn't, watching the video.

When Justin mowed the lawn back there, he missed a spot, you were just trying to clean it up.

Yeah, the kink is a corner that I missed my turn in point. The number of solutions to survive diminishes quickly if you miss that.

Yes, I saw a spot on the other side of the road that was missed and I hurried over there to get it. :-)
In real life I have taken that corner completely sideways looking out the front windshield seeing the concrete wall go by, some how I corrected it and didn't touch a thing.

Fun race was great to get back, the Oculus is very cool, much easier to use all of the track, apparently used to much when I touched the grass coming onto the front straight and spun in front of Justin. I did report the bug last night, will let you know what they say.

The iRacing scruits disqualified two of us for unknown reasons after the race. The garage still said I passed.

Hey guys, I'm looking to build a sim this winter for iRacing. I was planning on getting the Trustmaster T300RS and a Playseat Evolution. I had considered a Logitech G27 or G29, but the Thrustmaster seems to get better reviews on FFB.

Comments are greatly appreciated.

Typically a disqualification at the end of the race is for not serving a black flag penalty - course cutting, meatball, etc. We don't send the car through virtual tech after the race. If the setup passed tech at the beginning and you got into the race it is not a setup issue.

Both cars show off-tracks and/or contact so damage was likely. Remember, if you get a meatball flag you must pit for repairs, even if you feel like you can still drive the car.
