Had a great time last night, I'm horrible with the downforce cars in iRacing. I get quicker and quicker then when I try to push that last little bit I crash everywhere!!! Not to mention I somehow thought I could put 2 wheels n the grass on the start and actually make it stick

Still more fun than the alternative, see you guys next week.

LOL!

have you done anything else with the Indycar at Zandvoort? the slow corners on that track are killing me, can't figure them out at all.

I've been finding that "diamonding" the corner works really well with that car at Zandvoort. I try to brake late and in a straight line, rotate fast, hammer throttle ASAP. When I started practice there I was trying to "bend" it into the corners and conserve momentum, but it gets too loose trail braking and I spent too much time catching mini slides on entry and exit despite having slightly higher mid corner speed.

yep, that's exactly the problem I'm having that's the downside of the fixed setup, it's too understeery into the corner so you have to over-rotate the car and then catch/hold the slide all the way out.

I'll try diamonding off the corners.

you guys talking about the fixed indycar road series?

I ran that series with sebring a few weeks back, managed to get to mid pack pace pretty quickly and could see that one being fun. Might have to look into running it more.

yep, I like the fixed series (the Richmond races were a blast). I did a few at Road America as well. Zandvoort has just thrown me for a loop.

What would be a resonable time for Zandvoort in the Indy car with the fixed set up?
