Will have to miss again tonight due to this night class.

Maybe the professor wouldn't notice if I set up my wheel/pedals in the back of the room...?

Turnout is improving! Once Jim found his groove, he started to close the gap. Next week is Summit point. We will see a few of these cars get launched into the woods for sure. I will bring enough fuel for ALL the laps this time

Wish I could've made it a little earlier to get more practice in.

Took me a bit to learn the Ford doesn't like to stop!

Jim and Sean got a great start and I dropped back to third. I was really struggling to find a way past you Jim. I was better in the first sector, we were about even in the second, and you had me in the last. My bag of tricks was almost empty when you spun it Great fair defensive driving. I'm not sure where other than T1 I could have passed at Summit and you had a better run down the straight.

Next week: Charlotte Roval.

It was a good race. It would have been a lot better had I not dropped a tire in the first few laps. We were all pretty close in times till the end. That's when Justin turned on the after burners.

I am planning on hosting another practice session Sunday evening 6:00est. Even if your not sure you can race on Wednesday please join us for some good practice and setup sharing time.

Pass = spyder

Good times, sorry I had to bow out. Got home late, got the crusty when I fired up the rig from the wife, then kept getting interrupted.... Finally just said, "Forget it!" and signed out.

Charlotte Roval is a fun layout. I used to love the Week 13 stuff there in the Solstice.

I'm getting everything setup to join up next week, hopefully I'll get a few test sessions under my belt before the next race.

7:30p est every Wednesday? Is Charlotte Roval the Charlotte full road coarse?

Awesome. Yes the Roval is the road course. If you need help or have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
Also if your schedule allows join us for the practice session Sunday evening.

Sunday at 6p, I'll set a reminder in my phone.

I'm going to try and join one of the mazda cup series for rookies, I've been watching videos and looking at stuff on the site for a while today.

So I ran some laps last night in the GT and found I'm much quicker in that car at Charlotte. I curious if you guys are bottoming out in T4 oval. I'm using the Daytona set and it feels very comfortable, but I'm scraping the bottom in the turn and it doesn't matter if I'm high, low, or mid corner. I tried changing the ride height but that just slows me down on the oval section.

Where are you finding it's quicker? Infield or Oval? The transition onto the oval is harsh!

I am only about 2-3 mph off in the oval in T4. I am much quicker it seems coming into T1 and the road section. I'm finding for some reason I'm overdriving the MP4 on the road.

Ya I found my car bottoming along the outer oval as well... no matter what I did, it kept bottoming...so I gave up and decided to deal with it. It's not like I have to replace a few thousand bucks worth of carbon fiber undertray at the end of the race...

I played with both cars a bit on Sunday. I used the Kansas setup on the McLaren, and the VIR set on the Ford. I ultimately went faster in the Ford (2-3 tenths), though it was a little twitchier. (Sometimes I feel like I just don't "get" that car, the way it will behave one way 9 laps out of 10... then the 10th lap, it snaps.) The McLaren has the top end though. With the long oval trip right before start/finish I think the McLaren will probably be the more likely car to win, all other things being equal. The little bit of speed advantage in the McLaren combined with a draft will be enough IMO to overcome the little bit of infield advantage (provided you don't spin...) in the Ford.
