Can I at least take some credit here? I chose the current graphics package...and had the engine rebuilt with Motec...and upgraded the wheels...Sorry, I get nostalgic.

I don't know what it is capable of at the Glen, but I know it can do 1:58's at Daytona.

Such a great car! Drooled over it many times up at Kelly Moss

There is another KMR body car for sale right now somewhere. Green color and it was priced in the $60k's

The green car and my old car have only the body kit in common. The detail work on my old car is amazing, particularly when you consider it was done in 1996.

Kelly Moss only made 2 of the KMR-RSR 3.8 Lightweights. This is only remaining one. The other was converted to water cooled power in 2001. It too is for sale: http://www.vintagemotorsport.com/viewdetail.asp?id=395

Seems Daytona, The Glen, and VIR lap times are pretty similar, maybe a second faster at Daytona, in fast GT cars.

For the record, it was Cort Wagner who posted the 1:58 at Daytona, not me.
It's a very sweet handling car.
In the pictures, I can tell that it still has the old Yokohama's on it. Got to be about 3 years old.

Rubbish.

What has the current owner done with the car, collector and not race?

I remember first seeing this car at Sebring. I think it had a livery of nothing but '1s' and zeros all over it to cite it as the first?

You're correct in that it did have the ones and zeros livery, but that was because the original owner was head of the modem division for U.S. Robotics.

As far as I know, it has been on the shelf since I sold it back to Kelly Moss. I think Price Cobb has been out in it a time or two, but that's it.
