Tough Decision About Rennsport IV.....

Come on, JR, you know he has a point. You really should pee or get off the pot. The person that gets your spot if you decide not to go to RR might need all the lead time they can get to make the event.

Dave I'm not trying to minimalize his point about the next in line, that had already crossed my mind. Quite frankly, I just don't respond well to someone assuming I won't be courteous to others. I find that tone offensive....

Championship. You seem more like a racer than a fan/spectator/in awe of the old cars and drivers kind of guy. The better racing will likely be at the championship.

Well everyone is a little different. The feelings of accomplishment and pride one has after achieving a goal like a series championship can be all over the place. I won many series championships in AX and Time Trial back in the day, but they were pretty hollow as there was not much competition.
I likely saw all of the cars likely to be at RR IV at the Porsche 50th, also at Laguna (1998). For me, this is likely the last time I will see them thus assembled. And I get to drive without sound restrictions in front of a paid audience-- the last time I got to do that was 2004.
I made no assumptions about courtesy, one way or the other, so sorry if you mistook my suggestion.
You of course know that many, many people tried to get in to this event from all over. And I of course know (well assume based on what I read) that you are a great supporter of Porsche and Porsche racing. So of course I believe that you will have empathy for others waiting. But what I call courteous and what you call courteous may be a little different.
In any case, I hope that you make a decision that provides satisfaction, and that you will still join us in NorCal for Porsches at the Point. If you haven't raced with the PRC before, I suggest you familiarize yourself with our Guidelines for Racing. We race a little differently than PCA, POC and NASA.
Cheers.
