Highest octane gas in Watkins Glen?
 

Without resorting to race gas, could someone who has been there recently tell me what is the highest octane available at a local gas station? I haven't been there for a while, but the Sunoco station used to have 94.

Sunoco in town only carries 93 if I recall correctly, so does Valero.

The track sells 100 octane, the local stations offer 93 at best..

93 is the highest you'll find in town.... If you go into Weedsport...the local Sunoco has Cam2 at 100 octane... Is it really worth the drive? Probably not.

Would you guys happen to know what the highest octane they sell at the pumps at the track? My buddies and I are attending a Chin event Labor Day weekend. One of the guys needs rocket fuel in the order of 112-114 octane.

The fuel at the pumps is only going to be Leaded at that octane rating. Look me up at Chin... will have my canope set up with the big Pagid sign hanging out.

Maybe you can pick up a tank of 93 octane, Pure Gas, ethanol free, on the way into town:

or stop at the airport and get some Jet Fuel...

Kevin, I think 112 will work out just fine. Saves him from dragging jugs of gas to the track.

Just off of Rt 17 in in Chemung, is a Dandy Mini Mart, right across from the Chemung Speedrome.

They sell race fuel, IIRC they sell 110 and 104...drawing a blank now, price on website is now 7.49/gal (updated 10 hours ago)

If you are coming from the south or east you will probably be traveling west on 17..... and drive right by this place ;-)
