Default open track at njmp

Don't know if it's too late, but kojote has/had an open track event at thunderbolt June 1 & 2. It might be cancelled due to a lack of participants, but hope if we can drum up a few more we can salvage the event.

No affiliation. Just a disappointed driver.

I heard that it was canceled at a recent NJMP event. Website says "event closed". Equivocal.

One of the problems with this type of event is that the organizer presumably has a large non-refundable deposit to plunk down to reserve the date with NJMP. If the drivers don't show or come thru the organizer gets screwed.

If that was the case here, and I don't know that it was, I would have liked to see some form of notice of the risk of losing the event if not enough people pre-paid/signed on by an early enough date.

I ask this with interest as there is another NJMP event for August 17 & 18 on the website .....

Default Open track at NJMP

Guys,

We're hosting an open track/open pit lane format event at NJMP (Thunderbolt) on July 5-6.

If it helps fill the void, we're davidmurry.com.

Yeee Haaaa!!! Another David Murry event!!! I will certainly be there for this one. Open track with David Murry in the paddock for data/video review! How much better could it get! No doubt the open track itself is a fantastic experience, but when you factor in the opportunity to get real time advice from Murry?!? A guy like me that needs some help out there sure does appreciate the advice! Murry sure has helped my driving out substantially at these events!

David, how true that is! How you guys managed to keep the track dry on day 2 was beyond me! Fantastic job of clearing most of the crowd with the help of the weather forecasters telling us "it's gonna rain this afternoon", the rain that never came! This year it is a little easier for me to get out to these weekday events over the weekend events so I was really glad to make this one. Yet another really great NNJR event with all my track junkies!

Already blew off mothers day for WGI. Still not sure how I got away with that one. Don't think leaving wife with 3 under 8 is going to work again on a holiday weekend. Have heard great things about David Murry events though. Might even be worth the 10-11 hour drive to vir.

If you want to make a trip to VIR this year their Sept event will be the one to go to for sure. I'll be there and will be dragging some friends down again!

BTW, just how did you work out that Mothers Day like that?!?!?
