Default Racin' in the Rain: photos from Rolex 250 @ VIR

Started the day off watching my son race a youth triathlon. I love the color of my Slate Grey car, but boy are there a lot of gray cars other there...fortunately 911s have a "unique" shape!

After the race, straight to VIR, about an hour away. It's always nice arriving to a Porsche parking lot!

hey 911Jetta - what lens were you using for the shots of #59, #67, #44. I'm looking for another long lens.

Hey mrzoop,
New car?!

Lens wise, nothing fancy. Last year my wife bought me a Nikon D5000 bundled together with two lenses, DX 18-55mm and 55-200mm. It's been a great starter kit for me.

Specs on the 55-200mm:
Zoom lens - 55 mm - 200 mm - f/4.0-5.6 G IF-ED Nikon AF-S DX VR
Min Focus Range 3.6 ft
Lens Aperture F/4.0-5.6

I see that all the cup cars have a "new exhaust"? They are all one big single pipe with the bumper cut up? Im sure there is a gain from this but first time I have noticed. Or am I missing something, is that the way the new cup cars come?

Nice pics with a nice variety. I am sure the lighting conditions were all over the place due to the weather. I especially like some of the Brumos car shots.

Great pics. What a monsoon they had!

The GA guys really get the Cups to sit nice and low. Makes my car look like an SUV...
