Default Pic's of new enclosed trailer ramps, plenty of clearance now :)

The ramps that were on back order for my new trailer are now installed.
They are great! I can't believe how much clearance I now have. It's a breeze to load the race car now .
I like the way they store too.
Next I have to decide how to finish the floor and walls.

I have a set of those that I use to get onto my corner balancing ramps. Nice to use with trailers too.

Hi Gary
I have the same type; you're right, they work great. PitPal makes nice stuff and these installed easily.
I have a strap across the interior of the trailer door that keeps the ramps from bumping the back of the car during braking. Looks like maybe you have some sort of black fastener to do the same thing?

You are correct Rick, the black **** screws into the door. There's a threaded metal plate installed into the door to receive the ****.
Did you also install the thicker door blocks to keep the door higher off the ground?

When I next bring the trailer home I'm going to see if my GP with it's rediculous ground clearance goes into the trailer ok.

I work at a custom metal fabrication shop so if anyone is looking for ramps or anything custom for their trailer let me know. I have made custom ramps with additional extensions, rear door load bars, fuel jug holders, remote winch setups and a bunch of other items for trailers. We do not charge the "racers premium" that I seen a lot of shop do.

It looks like your trailer has wood panel walls. A nice upgrade that you can do it add White Aluminum panels to the sides and the rubber coin floor. We have the white aluminum panels in stock (4'x8') and the flooring can be sourced.

I'm curious about the white panels, I was leaning towards carpet on the walls once I've finished with racks etc.
I've been looking at the rubber flooring on line. I'm going to look at a few peoples trailers and ask a few questions when I'm at VIR in 2 weeks doing the NASA race.

My trailer guy said to leave my plywood floors as is, that pinting them will not let the trailer breath.

One of my friends has 2 metal diamond plate tracks for where the car drives into the trailer.

I'm also looking for a reasonable source for interlocking mats to put down next to the trailer for parking the car on when I work on it. Some paddocks can be a little sandy.

No, it wasn't needed with my car.
Have fun with your build out.

Not interlocking, but I saw that tractor supply had 4'x6' rubber mats today. They were $30 each? You would have to be pretty strong to carry them around though.

The price is great, definitely something I can use at home but carrying it around would a little rough.
So far I found these perforated tiles for $2.79sft

I use those horse stall mats in my weight room. Way too heavy for moving around on a regular basis. It would get old quick, however very sturdy for sure. I usually take me a small carpet and unroll it beside the car and lay on it. Much lighter and cheap. You could go get a remnent from a carpet place cheap and throw it away when its too dirty to lay on anymore.
