Hope it works out for them. A little OT but, other than VIR, has the "country club" business model worked for any other track? I cant think of one.

Motorsport Ranch, both in Houston & Cresson (Fort Worth) seem to be doing OK. Ironically, they are not related.

Still the best deal around, not much more than away from track and all brand new.

creditors need to keep things going in hopes of geting anything back, that land and building is worth nothing if not a race track. Lets not forget, not much else going on in millville.

Similar price for a ****ty hotel room in the area. That is still worth it in my opinion especially on a race weekend.

It was once rumored that TRG (aka: Kevin Buckler) had assembled a group of investors to buy NJMP. Perhaps this is the ideal time for that to happen.
I think this whole thing was inevitable after it was also rumored that Merill Lynch had called the note during the whole banking bebacle.
Be intersesting to see if rumor turns into reality.

Yep. I've seen plans re the TRG 'build-out' and asked Kevin B semi-jokingly about when he is taking over at one of their events there. I was a little surprised he did not dismiss it out of hand tho his reply was certainly no 'commitment'. Would not be totally surprised if his group is supplying some of the new "liquidity" ref in the article.

All said, this could ultimately be a good thing. That said, prices/pricing will rise IMO. It will be really interesting to see if the Membership buy-in presently is wistfully looked back on in, say, five years or so...

The comments are interesting. I myself have put a sizable sum into the local economy patronizing their local business's over the past few years. I hope to hell they work this thing through cause I really enjoy the **** out of the place.
