Yes, that is why I used the word "should" w/ that p/w , IMO 00-04 S's should be in G.....05s are.

It's possible to run a prepared stock car in GTS and finish well, but moving my car to GT options has made for some good battles with the bimmers including Josh. BTW congrats on your track record at VIR Josh. I hope to see you at Summit. (no engine in the car yet)

Thanks man. Low lap times were there for the taking this past weekend with the awesome (and unexpected!) February weather. Truth be told, my driving regressed a bit from the last time I was there and I wasn't really happy with my times. Sometimes it takes me awhile to get rid of the off-season rust.

Might miss the first Summit event to head to Mid Ohio instead. I haven't been there yet and I'm seriously contemplating Nationals this year, so I'd like to get some seat time there. You and Wonger can have at it though.

Hey, I did some more aero as you suggested! I def think you should head out to Nationals. PS. Did Curtis break in the first race? My engine is still not done and I sold the stock one. I may buy another stock long block so I can get the car on track before this takes too long. Let me know if your planning on SP or Mid O. It would be great to go run at Summit again.

Well don't tell that to Vali Predescu out in Cali. He obviously missed the memo winning the Nationals GTS3 in 09' in a stock 996 Spec on Hoosier slicks, and winning GTS2 last year in a stock Spec Box again on Hoosier slicks. Oh and he was 100lbs. over his minimum weigh both years as he weighs about 270....

JR, I remind him of that all the time. LOL

Actually, Scott is mostly talking about a dual purpose PCA E Stock car crossing over to GTS2. The argument is that E Stock doesn't allow enough development to compete in GTS2 where many of the BMWs are built w/ no restrictions in place other than meeting the power/weight formula for GTS2.

Off topic, but I thought I'd ask anyway... Does one have to qualify to get into Nationals (like SCCA runoffs) or is it open to all? If the former, what does one have to accomplish in order to get in? Tx.

Fred,
I believe you only need to run 5 NASA races to be eligible.
