March 18, 2011 (Ormond Beach, FL) –– Following a 66-car, hard fought battle during last weekend’s Grand-Am Continental Tire race at Homestead Miami Speedway, Stewart Tetreault and Guy Cosmo brought home BGB’s #83 Porsche Cayman S with support from Healthcare Risk Services in 10th place; teammates John Tecce and Jean-Francois Dumoulin finished in 14th place in the #38 Porsche Cayman S carrying sponsorship from SpeedMerchants.ca; only 3 Porsches finished in the top-15 following a race yet again dominated by big V8 powered Ford Mustangs and BMWs. The race was eventually won by the #96 BMW M3 of Turner Motorsports of Paul Dalla-Lana and Bill Auberlen.

The two “Little Caymans That Could” soldiered home solidly as the BGB Motorsports team did everything right for the 2nd race in a row. Finishing drivers Guy Cosmo and JF “da kid” Dumoulin were clean and crafty in traffic, as they tried to hold ground over the larger powered cars. Doing an amazing job, they played their cards as well as possible. Starting drivers Stewart Tetreault and John Tecce ran clean stints but pitted early to take a major gamble on strategy, in an attempt to try and get up in front of the bigger cars. That race strategy was on point and couldn’t have been sharper, nor could it have been executed without 4 solid and near flawless pit stops by the BGB Motorsports pit crew. Team Manger John Tecce had more to add:

“Everyone has had their fair share of disappointing days at the race track. As a team, we have watched our cars run out of gas on the last lap; we have seen championship hopes slip away with 10 minutes to go during the final race of the season and we have seen cars destroyed in front of our very eyes. Watching our two cars get straight up out-run, as our crew and drivers did a perfect job rivals any of the above. We did everything right. Again. We have our work cut out for us this year and therefore need to go back to the drawing board if the landscape doesn’t change following the next round at Barber Motorsports Park.”

BGB is looking forward to an upcoming test at Barber on Tuesday and then returning for the race next month, as teams run the tight, twisty hills of Barber Motorsports Park on Thursday April 7th. BGB has entered both Porsche Caymans for the 2.5 hour event on Saturday April 9, 2011 at 11:30am. Returning pilots Tetreault and Cosmo will be joined by newcomers Francesco Piovanetti and Anthony Massari in the black #38 Porsche Cayman with sponsorship from Suits Racing. Qualifying for the race will be at 9:50am on Friday, in front of Porsche Cars North America at their home track.

Don’t miss the exciting action from the KIA 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Speed TV this Saturday March 19th at 2:00PM, EST. Additional airing dates are listed at the top of this press release.
