Congrats on your weekend Duane, you ran with Monsalve all weekend. Now get some slicks and run in GT with me and Cherniack.......
Guilty as charged.

Slicks? No, with everything else that comes with GT racing it is just not in my budget. Your wallet is faster than mine (most likely your driving too).

Nah my budget has gone to hell this year along with the rest of the world. If Yokohama hadn't offered their very generous contingency this year I wouldn't be racing. I won another set this weekend at Laguna, thanks Yokohama .

Now if I can just talk them into giving me some Patron Cup tires for the Nationals next month....

So I guess a stock muffler + 4 Burns is all it takes....

One of our local tracks was shut down for "noise" *wink wink* (even though it sits 100 yds from the runway of a large F-16 fighter base. It is reopening with a 92 db limit. Don't think I'm going to make it no matter what I do.

A lot of guys get carried away. The Supertraps w/elbows on the red/white Truspeed car works fine and you can adjust with plates or washers as needed.....

AMP? If so, it IS? Not nostalgic for all the laps I turned at Firebird and PIR back in the '80s. Would be nice to have the third option if/when we end up with a vacation home down there.

Yes, AMP.

http://www.westvalleyview.com/main.a...rticleID=37819

Word is that there is going to be a "track" limit of 99db. ie combined noise of all cars can't exceed this at some distance. Don't know how exactly that is going to be measured? At The property line? Not sure...

So the track is going to implement 92db per car to start with.

Good to hear. Maybe there will be an event around Auction Week, and I'll bring a car down.

Funny that this is the best the homeowner's group can come up with: "Nick Woods, a Phoenix lawyer representing homeowners and developers in the track area, said all sides have worked together in coming up with an acceptable deal.

Now, AMP and Maloney need to reach out to the community by sponsoring community events at the track, including bicycle rides, cancer walks and charitable fund-raising, Woods said."

Cancer walk. Think maybe that at a race track something that would benefit the community might center on driver education??? (Not necessarily DE as we define it, but training for teens.........hell, anyone, considering the dumb asses out on the roads.)

5 Hours of track time.....no sound limit!

5 classes in the Challenge race group!

Who's in???
