If you're looking for a used one I have found parts using this nationwide car recycler search site.
Looks like there are several ranging from $1000 to $3500...Good luck.

Having done countless of these boxes, it will cost you way more to rebuild it (properly) than you source/install a used one (matter of time before that one fails). The main thing on these boxes is the fluid IMHO. If you deceide to rebuild yours, any of the previously mentioned names are a great choice.

And by properly I am going to assume Bernie means both sealed bearings and a complete replacement of the 2nd gear idler, it's synchros and the slider-hub assembly for 1-2. 1st gear is often "optional" but they ALL need second gear work and they all need those bearings replaced. As was alluded to, those parts alone will exceed the price of a "good used" box of questionable origin.
