You know, Ron would just like to say that when Mr. Mobine first proposed that he could work marketing wonders and bring our small company to thousands of new potential customers, there was doubt.

Now we can see the true marketing genius that obviously lay behind Mr. Mobine's 'fake' request for a free car in return for a favourable review, then a 'fake' rant about having to pay for what he enjoyed using.

Both Ron and myself will raise a jar to Mr. Mobine and his alternative marketing genius.

Cheers.

I just took the time to read the whole thread because it just kept popping up.

Torque wins races.

Cheers to our German friends at RSR. See you soon.

I have read whole thread and my uneducated legal advice would be, purely from business2business experience - rework your written contracts and have every little detail explained in proper simple language that does not allow any misreadings or misconceptions. You are not a simple car rental, you provide special racing services, so have all your services properly disclosed and defined. If you have surcharges for parts damage - disclose limits. Offer insurance. You may charge whatever you want how you want it but it has to have only one way of reading and understanding it and it has to be in the contract your customer signs and internet version with electronic signature should match your paper version.

Anything not disclosed in the written contract may and will be a subject for a lawsuit. Some people may have enough time and money on their hands to cost you $XXK in legal expenses over simple $400 extra charge and win.

There is nothing personal here, just an observation. Do not do legal work yourself if you are small business, do not rely on your common sense or understanding of 'rules', contract good legal specialist and protect your business. Only written word matters in the court of law.

My next trip to Europe is next month-"unfortunately" it is consumed with Le Mans and a couple of days in Paris. But the next will be a trip back to The Eifel and Mosel regions, and a visit to your company and the 'ring.

I have to disagree with A. Wayne. The Ghetto Racer "Open Letter" still holds the title.

You've been here before?!

We had an Italian, 19-year-old 'Stig' the other day (probably about €3000 of driving gear to complete the authentic white knight look). He wouldn't even lift the visor to talk...

One of these days I'll get a chance to go back to the country where I was born and give the ring a try. A lot has been said, I just hope you guys get it worked out.
