You can't make a racehorse out of a pig, but with enough time effort and money, you can make a very fast pig.

Carroll Smith: Light, cheap, strong . . . pick two.

Pete Brock: always bite off more than you can chew, then chew like hell.

Dale Earnhardt Sr: you win some, you lose some, and somedays you just wreck.

Paul Newman: racing is a way of being a happy child again.

Pat Patrick: my formula for success - rise early, work late . . and strike oil.

Roger Penske: Luck is when preparation meets opportunity.

A few from Carrol Shelby, and yes he raced in a few Porsches;
Horsepower is for show, its torque that wins races.
Next year Ferraris *** is mine! (He raced in even more F-cars)
It was fun to blow away a Porsche with a $3900 donkey (gt350)

Slightly revised, maybe from the movie RUSH
How to make a small fortune racing, start with a large one.

Why racing? Because everything else only requires one ball.
