Maybe each car could have 1 "secret weapon" like nails to drop on the track, something to puncture the other's gas tank, a 50 shot of nitrous, an oil slick or smoke screen or...(I'm sure Rennlisters can come up with more). THAT would make for some interesting competition.

How about any car that leads for 10 consecutive laps has to come to a dead stop on the front straight on the 11th lap....and every ten laps thereafter that the lead is kept.

Maybe just invert the field every random number of laps, to be determined by pulling hairs out of Bernie's Head and counting them.

I am embarrassed to be from the same country!!!
Maybe it would add more 'excitement' to the TV viewers however how in the world can a shortcut be racing? I would refuse to not watch in principle
