We used to have one sprint race, no enduro, and tons of cars. And we loved it. Except when it was Lake Lime Rock (which was more often than not).

on second thought, I'm going to attend this event if I can regardless of the format, but it seems to me that fewer but longer races maximizes track time with less gridding and transition. I just like long races anyway; less frantic and more strategic.
I think that they're right about lifting the noise restriction though, as it opens the door to a lot of cars that don't come to this event. In fact, my last race there in my GT car I sat out qualifying because I knew I'd be sent home on noise then raced through from the back instead.

Hey Doug,
you scored a blurb in "Grassroots Motorsports", from the Roebling Club Race.
Kudos!

Hopefully that's incorrect because it will really limit the options if it is true.

Thanks Gums!
I just saw that the other day. Jackie Buys pointed it out to me. I am famous now I guess! lol

Regarding LRP, I hope you come to the event. I can't wait and hopefully the snow will be melted by then!

I was wrong.

Race/unmuffled engines may idled for the purpose of warm-up prior to 9:00 am. Cars may be driven at idle
speed to False Grid prior to 9:00 am. The “revving” of engines prior to 9:00 am is expressly forbidden and
violators may be subject to immediate removal from EVENT. At no times may engine noise be in violation of
Lime Rock Park’s dB limits.

Enduro for sure. Sprint races are for those that cant keep it up for very long.

Seriously, enduros require more strategic thinking, team work with your pit crew, and are a lot more fun in general. Bring back the enduro!

If you had your way, it would be an 8 hour enduro with no driver changes allowed. And no refueling, you get out and run when the car gets empty.
