HCP Cups and Saucers Advanced DE at WGI 05/12/10 - 05/13/10
The Hudson-Champlain Region will be hosting the premier Advanced Drivers Education event, “Cups and Saucers”, at the famous Watkins Glen International, Wednesday and Thursday, May 12-13. This is a fantastic, no-nonsense event for White, Black and Red run group drivers wishing to get maximum track exposure. (White run group drivers must have completed a minimum of 6 track days in the White run group prior to the event.)
The unique “Cups and Saucers” format was designed to allow drivers to share the track with similar skill levels and equipment. This year, we will feature expanded passing zones in the “Cups” run group. Adding to the experience will be individual coaching available from Speed Secrets Driver Development Services. Speed Secrets personal coaching will be available in 1 (one) hour sessions, available both days, at a special rate of $275 per hour for early sign-up. Come meet Scott Leder of Speed Secrets during the social hour in the lounge of the Harbor Hotel, our host hotel, the night before the event, May 11th. There will also be a free guided track walk at the conclusion of driving on Wednesday for all interested participants. Drivers can expect to get about 3 hours of track time each day (6 scheduled 30-minute sessions for each run group).
The highlight of the social events will be the “Cups and Saucers Dinner” at the Harbor Hotel Wednesday night. Following dinner, Scott Leder will give a seminar that will include reviewing and analyzing data and video from that day, and a question and answer session. Cost for both the dinner and the seminar is $40 per person. This is an opportunity to have your best run professionally reviewed and coached for free!
The Harbor Hotel is offering special rates of $129 plus tax for Village View rooms and $149 plus tax for Lake View rooms. These rooms and rates are limited and on a first-come basis, contact the Harbor Hotel directly for reservations and mention the Hudson Champlain Region PCA for these great rates.
Early drop-off and registration will be available from 6-8 PM on May 11th and a limited number of garages assignments will be available for the price of a small charitable donation; however camping will not be available. This year we will be using ClubRegistration.net for all event and options registration.
Don’t miss the opportunity to join us at the Glen for this exciting DE, remember that registration will only be open for a limited time so register early for a free T-shirt. For additional DE details, contact Don Schneider, Track Chair, at track@hcp-pca.com or Jim Morgan, Registrar, at registrar@hcp-pca.com.
We have added some great new features to this year's event, so please join us for two great days at WGI. Registration opens on March 17th.

I missed out on this event last year. Looking forward to participating this year. As of now, registration is not open on clubregistration.net. When does registration open?

Rick, last time I checked, the Glen CR (Zone 1 at the end of May) involves racing......and that is what I was referring to.......
I know me and Scott are going have a blast and duke it out ( just like we did at Summit CR), are you going to join in the fun?.......
BTW, I will also be at the cups and saucers (if they let me in the cups like last year)........and I very well know it is a DE.......
Ciao......
