Interesting. Looks like Mercedes found some speed since last week.

Alonso 2 seconds slower than Rosberg in the dry??? HAHAHHAHAHAHA

Jensen and McLaren 4 seconds off the pace??????

It's hard to take these times too seriously because of the huge potential difference in fuel loads. If Alonso is fueled fully and only 2 seconds back then it's a pretty good result... if Rossberg is fully fueled it's a completely different story. Is that number of laps reported the number of sequential laps, or are there stops in there?

Without getting caught up in the cult of personality, I think the biggest story here is Nico Hulkenberg's time in the Williams. A rookie who's .4 secs faster than the leader from last week is a hefty accomplishment, even if he had a lighter fuel load.

Don't think you can put too much faith in those dry times. They're much too skewed to represent outirght pace. Wet times are closer, but you could say the same about them and the Valencia times. I get the impresssion that looking at F1 preseason test times is like watching a football team without numbered jerseys play from a distance. Too many variables but fun guesswork though.

They're all doing different stuff so this is normal (but you already knew that).

This year with bigger tanks there will be big differences.

They are to be taken as absolute Canon law as long as Alonso is the fastest...the minute he isn't, they are meaningless and are to be disregarded, ridiculed and dismissed with extreme prejudice. The Spanish Inquisition can be called in if necessary to deal with the Alonso Heretics...

Alonso will never be fully fueled, always runs as light as possible. There is no if.

Fixed it for you...clearly you forgot the fact that Alonso is lacking certain, as Mr. Hobbs would say, "attachments".

After looking at these results I am of the opinion that they are useless.

Let's have a raise of hands as to who thinks Buemi in a Torro Rosso will be a major player this year. These huge gaps in times just show that people are saving their really trick bits for the real deal.

I do like Kobayashi and Hulkenburg though.

Sir A.Wayne would beg to differ. The fact that Ferrari had a 1-2 in the previous test is clearly not "useless"...it is a sign from above.

As usual intellect is wasted here ...............

follow along plebs :

Autosport :

Alonso was particularly eye-catching....

With Alonso lapping in 1m21.928s towards the end, while Schumacher's later times were around 1m23s. Alonso had the most mileage of the day, notching up 129 laps.

All testing tells a story , of course Braile would be needed for the amigos to follow along ..

Testing , testing , what does it tell ? It tells me the amigos still won't bet, not even on the great Stoolmacher ..... such ladies !

The cars look like a parade of who can imitate last year's Red Bull.

Surprising that Merc improved that much. How do they make it look so easy while McLaren make it look so hard?, The Sequel.

As far as looks alone, the Ferrari just looks awesome. No wonder it's fast.
