It really does solve all of the problems that electric and other "alternative" fueled cars have.

I wonder how stable the hydrogen would be in a crash? Wouldn't want a bunch of Hindenburgs running around.

That's a good question, plus you have to develop a safe delivery system.
I agree about the hybrid problems, where are all the dead batteries going to go?

This car sounds great if it is safe. But, it won't be sold here. It will be sold in India or some other developing nation.

Here, all pols will demean it as they carry water for the established energy giants and protect their money streams.

With this type of propulsion system used for daily transportation we could see combustion engines in race cars forever since their environmental impact would be negligible.

Not to get off topic here, but I think that the Energy companies would be right behind it. Anything to get away from their dependance on 3rd world countries. Think how that would straighten the world back up again - oil becoming worthless.

I agree 100% about re balancing the world but show me the money. The car runs on water.

We could hook up a unit to power our homes, no need for electric or gas companies either. Consider the possibilities.

I am so senical I can't believe we would do what is best if it has ANY effect on large corporations profits.

^yeah and then all of a sudden water will cost 100$ a liter since you wont be needing all those other ''fuels'' you need in life to operate.

The fact that the Hindenburg was filled with hydrogen had little to do with that disaster. The diesel fuel spraying everywhere from the twin engines caused more damage and contined to burn for a few hours, long after the hydrogen was gone.

Nah, it all fits. Global warming is causing the oceans to rise anyway, so we'd better find something to do with all that salt water. Besides, the by-product is "pure" water so if you are using it to heat your home, you can recapture it for other uses. Just one big happy eco-cycle.

the coatings on the skin accelerated the fire. The fuel burning was of little issue as it was after the craft had crashed.

The energy giant revenue comes in with greatly increased need for electricity to make the hydrogen.

Well, at least you wouldn't need airbags.

(PS: We'd probably increase our dependence on foreign oil in order to generate
the power needed to "crack" water into hydrogen and oxygen.)
