Default DFW Race Seat dealer?

I bought a spec miata last raced by a 130 lb 16 year old. I need to get a seat that will fit my 5'10" 195 lb body. I want to get a halo type seat, but am concerned about the loss of peripheral vision if the Halo is at the wrong height. Really need to sit in the seat before buying to make sure it will work.

Anybody know of a dealer with a decent inventory of seats to try out in the DFW area?

Thanks,
Patrick

Best option is Performance SpeedTech located at MotorSport Ranch. Great folks, lots of inventory on the floor, and you are actually at the race track! They have mostly Sparcos and Cobras in stock. No Recaros unfortunately.

Then there is Smiley's Racing located East of the metroplex.

I got a Cobra Evolution S from PST, and am very happy with the seat. However, the various models all fit a little differently, so be sure to try them all out.

+1 for PST. They have a good selection in the showroom. I bought both of my Cobra Imola seats from them in my old 996. They are a great bunch.
They did the install as well.

Smiley's is more expensive.

(You're sure to see something there that you forgot you needed till you see it)

BTW, here's the link to their seat inventory.

pst is a good group of people!! I buy all my stuff from them locally-

if they don't have it, I order it from winecountrymotorsports.com I can't help but be a loyal customer when it comes to race equip. so many jerks in the biz!

CJ makes a good point. We are fortunate to have a very professional local race shop/supplier. If we want to keep them here, we should support them.

Agreed. Smiley's a retail business whereas PST is a group of people you know - because they are a race shop and are as passionate about the sport as you are.

I once had an immediate repair need that was going to take at least an hour that they could not address due to backlog, but AJ went out of his way to find a nearby alternative because he took the time to understand my dilemma.
