Not only does it apply to us instructors but it even more applies to my job as a manufactures rep. I always say you can lead a horse to water but you can't make 'em drink.

OK, VR, as a student I've had instructors urge me on with utterances like "gas, gas, Gas, GAs, GAS!" but this is the first time I've been classified as a *****. Any more of that stuff, and I'm going to get my wife to sign up for a DE and specifically arrange to have you be her instructor. After that, you'll be afraid of ***** for the rest of your days.
