Default GPX Pro any reviews

Has anyone looked into the GPX Pro from XTracing? It appears to be a new GPS timer/data acquisition system. Prices start at $679.00. I have been trying to purchase a used Traqmate without any sucess just looking at other options.

Looks like it is used more by motorcycle racers than car drivers. Has all the features of the other major units. Although, it does look like the analysis software is still catching up with the competition. No ability to import data from your friend and compare it to your laps. If you want to compare lap times, all the laps have to be recorded on the same units.

Their forum says that they are hoping to have that feature in the software by end of winter. The few reviews I could find of it on motorcycle forums, all seem to be favorable.

Any more insight on this topic would be greatly valued - compare and contrast this and traq-mt etc?

In that price range, check out a AIM Solo DL. Tremendous bang for the buck.

You can get the Aim or Traqmate products to synch with a GoPro pretty easy.

A couple questions for the 996/data experts - the 996 GT3 has CAN system right? Also, How does one overlay the AIM solo DL data onto GoPro video? how easily/cheaply can I do that (as the handycam from Aim is quite expensive considering I already have a GoPro)?

Thanks folks!
