I rarely yell, when I watch a video, but I did. My wife just hit me!
60mph head on! what was the result? everyone survive?
The cars were probably toast for sure.
That was ugly!

If it was an Enzo, my bad, I missed that thread - and I did a search [using miata and crash] but nothing turned up.

Looks like a few others missed it as well.

I believe all were "OK." As I heard it, Lotus driver had a broken back.

Enzo or not, it was a bad header. I would like to hear the story from the Lotus driver.

There's serveral threads on the SCCA forums on this, including posts from the Miata Driver, and corner workers. The Lotus spun, no more info than that, but the driver walked away, no injuries. The Miata driver had a C-2 fracture, but was being released from the hospital with only a neck brace, no surgery. He got out of the car under his own power, was then put on a backboard. Apparently he felt able, and backboarding him in the car would have meant cutting out the cage & top. Still a C-collar would have seemed prudent. May have been a good use for the inflatable helmet removers. W/O a HNR, would have likely been fatal.

The guy has a C2 fracture and wasn't extricated and transported with cervical stabilization? He should buy a lottery ticket.

Do your green students drive 6" off the bumper of the car in front - a left had drive car with the flag station on the right often means you never see the flag station.

Remember folks, the video is shot from a car a ways back from the incident and you don't get a good view of yellow from it's camera until very late. I am not certain, the SM could see the yellow at all.

If the car in front of him sees the yellow, he should be giving a waving hand signal to the SM behind him to let him know.

I believe he means it was a bad "head-on collision", aka, "header". I don't think he's referring to your thread title.
