Default Quick Info ON Rule Changes

I have a last minute chance to race PCA VIR event in June, thanks to a very good PCA friend whose tired of seeing home on race weekends. My medical and license are UTD and my car teched fine at last race August '08. Economy has had it sitting since then. I raced GT3s last year and thought I read something about doing away w/'S' vs.'R' classifications.
My ??: Is there any MAJOR rule changes or spec changes I need to know that might stop me. I plan on reading 2009 rules but I need to decide quick so if there's any zingers I need to know about, I would appreciiate it.

Thanks guys! I read them last night. If I could add 100+ #'s to my car and get in 4s I may have a fighting chance. Oh well, I'll bring up the rear in 3s I guess.
I'm looking forward to this. Even got my ABS back running with a little cleaning and blowing off the magnets.
Must be a good sign...

You are allowed to add ballast to your car to move one class, so I'd recommend adding the weight.

4S is a good class to race in.

I would order as much ice cream as you could fit in your freezer and a bunch of beer for the fridge and bring your own ballast

OK
I went through the calculation.
3.8L NA has a HP assignment of 90 hp/liter (3.8L X90hp/L=342 hp/L*). My car and I weigh 2700# (minus the above mentioned ice cream).
Therefore:
2700/342* X100= 789
Is this correct? That means I can move(down) from 3s to 4s now.
Anyone see a problem with my math?

Your math is not correct. Your 3745cc engine has a HP/L of 110 as defined by the table for 2 valve 6 cyl air cooled 911 engines. Therefore, the minimum weight of the car with driver for GT3 is 2270 and GT4 is 2786. I hope this helps.
