964 Cup slick sizes?
pardon the ignorance but i have never run slicks on this car, only Hoosier R6...any idea what sizes i would use for the 18 inch wheels,8.5 front 10 rear...also, any brand preference?

Yoks - 230/650/18, 250/650/18
Pirelli - 235/645/18 or 245/645/18, 265/645/18
Dunlop - 235/640/18, 250/640/18 or 265/660/18
Michelin - 24/64/18, 27/65/18
The yoks are not designed to be on the rear of a 911 and the tire is designed for the front of a prototype. The sidewall is soft and the car moves around on the sidewall making it not as responsive. On the other hand, it is virtually impossible to spin the car.
The Dunlop 660 rear tires hurt the gearing, but we found them to be the fastest (and most expensive) slick for the car.
I really like the Pirelli and if you can get them on a regular basis, they would probably prove to be as fast, if not faster, than the dunlops.
The michelin tire was absolute crap which is unfortunate because the price and sizing was right.
