Track address is 67 Cantrell Road, Monticello, NY 12701. It's the site of the old airport and I think the old entry road was called Litts Road. So if you use mapquest or google maps, #67 should turn up, if not, look for Cantrell and Litts. This is from google:

8. Take exit 106 toward County Hwy-172 0.2 mi
9. Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Monticello 118 ft
10. Turn left at Cimarron Rd/County Rte-173A 0.2 mi
11. Slight right at County Rte-173/Old Route 17 0.1 mi
12. Sharp left at Rose Valley Rd 1.8 mi
13. Turn right at S Woods Dr 1.1 mi
14. Turn left at Cold Spring Rd/County Rte-102 0.3 mi
15. Turn right at Cantrell Rd 1.3 mi

Hey GoFishRacing, Nice avatar!!! Will you be at this event?

I will be there and am excited about it. It will be interesting to see if or how many other "Full Course" events like this there are in the future.

Do I understant there to be 20 turns to learn on this track? Anybody here have any advice on this course, those who have driven the full course?

Look forward to seeing everybody next week, and also nice to see we have a trailer drop off the night before!

I was there on the south course a week ago.
I cannot recommned the Econolodge in downtown Monticello. Parking is poor with a trailer and my room was terrible. Go somewhere else if possible, the Lodge is east an exit or two, even the Monticello Best Western, or look a few exits away east or west on 17. You will be glad you did.
The paddock where all trailers go is all gravel and mushy when wet. They have plywood for your jacks. Your car parks in a lower paddock near the club house and you are seperated from your trailer and gear by maybe 300yds or something, kind of a pain. The new pavement is awesome, it is two weeks old now from what they told us. The south course is a lot of fun, great turtle/berms, good safe areas, elevations, etc. the full track looks aswsome on a parade lap. I am commited to other events and so had to schedule work then. Enjoy guys.

Wish I could do something but it looks like my CVR DE days are at an end unless they are on a weekend or preceding a Club Race..

that really sucks if we have to park trailer in one lot and our cars 300 yards away WTF tools jacks, tires, GAS, drinks, ect. ect. ECT.

that is really unacceptable conditions.

we'll need a shuttle service to get all our stuff from one lot to another.

who in charge can inform us as to the exact parking restrictions.

Check the clubregistration website where you registered for the event. There's some info there as well as a contact person (registrar). Also, there are email links on the PCA CVR website for the people in charge of DE. Wish I could help you, but I don't trailer, so I didn't think to find out much about trailer parking...

Go to the "videos" section of their website (http://www.monticellomotorclub.com). One there is a lap of the full course taken in a F430 Scuderia. It's very small, but should give you a little track familiarization, at least. Since this was taken the course has been widened in some sections and curbing's been installed on all corners. The drainage issues haven't been fully resolved, so you might see some water on parts of the track. Enjoy!

Here are a few laps I did yesterday on the North Course in the GT2. Will post later a few laps that I did on the Cayman Racecar in the South Course. IMO one of the best handling courses around here. Not your typical point and shoot one corner at a time stuff...

OEM MPSC are the worst Rcomps I have ever driven once you go beyond 9/10ths. Need to get some serious rubber to stop the screaming herd of 2 dozens cats and the serious understeer at the limit on the tighter corners.

Default Track at Monticello has second new surface/new Curbs

Just got back from a PDA on 5/15/09 session, the South track was only available. They finished the curbing and pavement is perfect
lots of grip and smooth. Also the padock area is now all paved and not like the CVR event last year, much better
almost no dirt and gravel. Their is a new temp building that we used for breakfast and lunch with bathrooms in the back.
All the flat beds and trailers were parked in the back behind the main building, single cars were parked near pit
out area.
Had a great time lots of tight turns !

See you all there !

Gang,

I'll be there -- I had fun last year, and this should be better because it's not the short course.

ALSO -- last year the place was so new that the curbs/berms weren't in yet so you got a LOT of dirt kicked up. I believe that's all fixed up now.

Berms are now in place and the track is beautiful.

Check out a few laps I did yesterday in the Cayman S (1:18 lap times)
