Not a horse race track at all www.monticellomotorclub.com, first class private facility - brand new last year.
The "place to stay" www.lodgeatrockhill.com with a special rate for the Monticello Motorsports Club. When you give the dates, they might say "coming in with PCA?" (which is what they said to me) or and if not, just say you are with Porsche Club of America and were told to ask for the special $89 a night rate.
There are some motels in Monticello, but the town is pretty depressed. The Lodge is a couple of exits away, but nice and rural.

How's does this race track compare to NJMP and their facilities?? I've been to NJMP a few times last year and that is one top notch race track all the way.

I didn't mean to imply there wasn't a horse track - just that the Monticello Motorsports Club was a totally separate entity and is a world-class new 4.1 mile road course.
Note: This is a Porsche Club of America Connecticut Valley Region event. That means you would have to be a PCA member (any chapter is welcome) and this event is therefore only open to Porsches. We've been getting all sorts of applications to attend with all sorts of cars. Sorry I wasn't clearer in my OP, but I figured by posting at a Porsche only forum and that I stated it was PCA (Porsche Club of America) and that the invitation at clubregistration says "Porsche Club" and "Porsches Only" that this was covered
Here's the info posted at clubregistration.net:
Two Day Event of Drivers Education at Monticello.
Instructed Drivers, Solo Drivers, Instructors
Porsches Only
Three digit car numbers for DE participants, two digit car numbers for ClubRacers.
Come join CVR and drive the ENTIRE 4.1 MILE MONTICELLO course. Monticello boasts some of the longest straights in North America and 15 turns of all varieties. Please check out the track at www.monticellomotorclub.com. This promises to be the most exciting DE event of 2009. CVR will be hosting this exclusive 2 day event -- sign up early.

I'm signed up and ready to go!
p.s. this was the paddock / trailer parking last year...

WOW I had no idea this place even existed. I am all for new race tracks. How long has Monticello been open and how does it compare to New Jersey Motorsports Park which opened last year? There has got to be someone here that has been to both.

Like I said, the paddock was "under construction" last season - the place is brand new and just opened last summer. You'd see and read that if you go to the website.
Looks like we're almost full already and like last fall when we had only the South course there will probably be a long wait list. I guess the bottom line is you can sign up and if 2 weeks prior to the event the paddock isn't complete, you can always back out and let somebody on the wait list attend.
