Thoughts on DAS rollbar vs "traditional" bolt in rollbar
I was wondering if anyone (or race shop) has ever tested the DAS/OEM GT3 type bolt in rollbars vs the more traditional bolt in rollbars (that have sandwich plates on the floor and wheel wells) to see if the DAS/OEM do offer the same type of rollover protection.
I'm very curious if the single mounting points and bolts hold up and don't break in the event of a rollover or impact...

I have a DAS bolt in bar in both of our 930s. I really like it. It's not as good as a weld in, but I think it's a huge improvement over nothing. Not sure about the GT3, but on a 930 it bolts into the rear hinge. So there are no marks left on the car and the installation is completely reversible without a scratch.
I personally don't feel the rear seat hinge is strong enough to support the shoulder belts, so I run them over the bar and down to the read seat belt mounts. Again no mods to the car.
