+1 for Charlie at Wrightwood and his custom AP slotted rotors.

If you've gone that far on those rotors, I'd say keep going and see just how long they last. It would be interesting to know....

Wrightwood Racing is wholesale only and sells through a few dealers across the US that take of of track/race cars.

I can help, if you wish.

I have tracked rotors that were worse than this one, but, of course, it depends on how you brake or, to be specific, how little you brake.
Oops, sorry, that was a typo!

Don't forget that it's not just about cracks. You need to keep track of the width in several spots with a caliper.

Yes. I think that there would be a few of us 993'ers interested. As mentioned before. All the Slutted rotors I've found for my set-up required custom hats. Result was ~ $600 for a set of fronts. If there is a more feasable solution that would stll prove a better ROI than replacing OEM's at $125 ea. 2 times a year I'd be interested as I'm sure others would too.

They seem OK on width.

My experience has been that they crack before they fall below the minimum spec on width.

Dave- its time I guess. Mine are not nearly as advanced as yours and I have new OEM set (cryo'd) in reserve ready to go on (when they look like yours). As I'm already thinking about my next car I couldn't justify the AP cost- though they look to be the better choice irrespective of $$.
Mind you, my car doesn't need brakes atm : /

Maybe try another OEM set but cryo them and see how that does you. Low cost experiment- or if you really plan to keep the car get the AP's and be done with it. Steve is offering a lifetime warranty ; )

Funny you say that because I was going to ask, as I had a set on an old car of mine for a while I just chalked it up to them being **** rotors.

I've had no pulising issues with the AP or Alcon slotted rotors from Wrightwood. They do however eat pads at a rapid rate compared to his AP or Alcon drilled rotors he initially had.
