I'm going to pass this year. The noise restriction is too much of a pain.

There is definitely something wrong with containing the melody of race cars! I am still going though, strapping on the maxflo.

I will try, but I dont know if the cup can get quiet enough... I will try some foam in the intake and see if we can come up with some silencers to tack on. I'd like to get the record from Musante

Of course, if I go this year it will rain yet again.

That darn noise restriction..!! I guess my RSR is out...

I believe Musante's record will never be broken...it was the old track...no one can ever say they went faster on the old track. New records will have to be for the new track..Just my 2 cents

You are correct Rick, not the same track at all.

Give it a few years and when funding dries up and the town completely stops issuing permits to repair the track, it will be back to normal.

no, just that the old track record has to stand as any new record will be a new track record. Different tracks so different records

Actually, from what I've heard the new track is faster.

Guess I'll have to come up with a new excuse now!

I've "heard" that too.. guess it's time to find out. I just want to race there as I love the track, the history, and racing in general. A year ago it was "it's in bad shape, it's too bumpy, it's Skip Barber is a crook, it's blah blah blah..." Now it's the (haven't changed in 10 years) noise restrictions??? I've got some nice Manchego to go with that...

I was black flagged for noise last year, can't contain it. I'll be in Scottsdale anyway.

Well, I can honestly say i'll miss ya Gums. My assumption is we both have improved since last year and you are great fun (read that as competitive) to run with. You have a new car and I have a tad more drive. It will be hard to re-create the last place DQ starts we had but who knows, Sean and Fred are cheaters so we all may end up the same way this year!
