GT3 in DE 48hours Traqmate
For the really bored:
Here are a few laps in a GT3 using cup car and RS as rabbit:
I just picked a session:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3403...eature=channel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgR6P...e=channel_page
Kevin, Tom and Erik all get a point by, but I can almost stay with them
It is hard to focus when you puke up a litlle from last nights' drinks on lap 2. I was going to use my hangovers as an excuse, but except a few non of us would have passed the breathalizer at Pit out for the first session ;-)
Awesome weekend lots of fun. Lining up before the race cars showed up around 15th place or so on the grid for practice, followed by 40+ cup cars in front and begind was plenty exciting!! I got a lot of practice pointing cars by....
Since some of the talents here are giving free advice; Fire away!

Don't go on track if you feel queezy.
Throw away your helmet after you puke in it.
You're welcome.
( you don't want to know how I know these things...)

I'd like to see you get back to at least some throttle sooner in 17. Also like to see you get on the throttle more before you apex 1.

usually this happens only when instructing in the passenger seat.
It was little enough that I could swallow it back...
In karting I have seen quite a few helmet visors go whatever color they ingested earlier hehe...
+100 I'd like to see myself do that also; I leave quite a bit on the table there. This was day 9 on track and I am still working on trusting the car to carry that much speed in the high speed, blind corners (I guess, I need to grow a pair as they say.)

Baby steps, baby steps. First step IMO is force yourself to get your right foot back to the throttle just a teeny bit sooner than you have been doing. Not a lot of throttle, just a bit. Next step IMO is to begin adding a bit more pressure when you do, so that as you squeeze back onto the gas, you are already ahead (in throttle position) of where you were before. A lot less intimidating/dangerous this way.
Another suggestion may be to teach yourself how to speed up your shifting, especially your upshifting. You are giving away small bits of time with each one. If you could be on WOT for maybe a total of 0.5 more seconds per lap...or maybe even 1.0 second per lap....what do you think that would do to lap times?

Thanks! I talk to myself in the car; Keep squeezing, keep squeezing, keep squeezing...
I am just to careful still (Never spun yet.) and I am always driving ****ty tires that I do not completly trust (The R888's were delaminating again, so I bought 4 sets of heat cycled out hoosies for $260.00).
Just excuses ofcourse, being chicken, cheap and limited talent doesn't make for fast laptimes hehe. I love this though, nothing I rather do with my clothes on!

I'll bet you $100....well, never mind
Overslowing for 1 (me too...) You're braking too early going into 3. Not going deep enough into 5 and early apexing. Not going deep enough into 7. Get on the throttle more fully in tower turn. Rolling into 13 a bit slow. Of course, what everyone else said about 17.

no more betting $100, or bidding for sweaters....
I'll have to go through my video and post my best laps for constructive critizism, although the "test and tune" on Thursday will probably have the more interesting video with about 25 cups cars in front of us and 50 behind us. Even the second session with Smithyman in the car as passenger we were doing 22's. Never had the joy of having a DP blow by before Bishops while you think you're doing a good lap. That was the most fun I've had in a longggg time.

Your cheating yourself in 3. Drifting over before turn in.

On 3, I know.
On 5; I am working on getting the car rotated there, i think it is my worst corner! (Erik leaves me there.)
On 7; I am in ABS, but I screw up my heel n toe too often..
On 10, I try but it screws me up for the next left hander?
On 13, I know.
Basically I need to go a little deeper, carry more speed and go onthe throttle earlier ;-)
As I said before, I drive JUST like you, just a little slower everywhere..
Peter what are you talking about it was SMOOOTH AZ BUDDAR
Erik, you mean this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BgbgGuFfsA (The last 3 seconds of the film is still funny..What do you mean 2 feet in?? The orange mist in my eyes is good for at least 1 sec.

I'm sure all the advice is good and will help. But if you hae never spun, then you are no where near your limit and have a lot more speed available just by using the gas pedal.
